RACE START

The race was declared wet for the start of the race due to the chance of race later but the track was dry as the 42 cars taking the rolling start took to the track.

The race got underway with all cars making through the first few corners unscathed. The no65 Panis Racing Oreca of Manuel Maldonado holding off a determined challenge by the no10 Vector Sport of Ryan Cullen at the head of the field.

Leclerc took over the car for the second part of the race and made significant advancements, setting a new lap record for the circuit in an LMP2 Oreca 07. However, the progress achieved during this phase was slowed down when the car had to pit just before a safety car period, allowing other competitors to gain a lot of time over car No. 65.

For the final two stints, Milesi took over and thanks to a faster pit stop for car No. 65 team, Charles Milesi narrowed the distance to Louis Deletraz's No. 14 AO by TF.

As the final stop was made, Milesi emerged in the lead after the final fuel-only stops in the closing 25 minutes, after previously running second to Deletraz, whose entry had controlled the majority of the race. The Frenchman finished 11.357 seconds ahead of Deletraz, who faded in the closing laps, to give the TDS Racing-run entry its first class victory of the season.

Milesi shared the top step of the podium with Manuel Maldonado and Arthur Leclerc, who claimed his first LMP2 victory.

With 3 more races left, now the championship heads over to Belgium for the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on the 25th of August.
